W&M Psychology Grad Receives Award for Distinguished Scientific Early Career Contribution

Kristopher J. Preacher

Kristopher J. Preacher, a W&M psychology graduate received an award for Distinguished Scientific Early Career Contribution to Psychology from the American Psychological Association (APA).  Preacher earned a masters degree in psychology from William and Mary in 1998, and is currently an assistant professor in the quantative methods program at Vanderbilt University.  In an article submitted to the psychology publication, American Psychologist, Preacher credits his interactions with W&M facutly including Professors Connie Pilkington, Lee Kirkpatrick, and John Nezlek, with inspiring him to pursue further graduate training and helping him to decide his ultimate career path.
