The Physics Department's Boat

SchrodingerPictured is physicist Austin Ziltz aboard the “Schrödinger’s Cat.”   Austin's entry was selected as the name of the first Department of Physics'  boat.

The boat was built to be used as part of the Chesapeake Algae Project (ChAP) research for understanding how to make wild algae into biofuel.

Professors Cooke and Tracy, along with Dr. Kuschner, from the Physics Department, are involved in this research.
