2010 Homecoming Parade Float wins 2nd place.

Students from the Kinesiology & Health Sciences department with Ray McCoy's help (and his 1940 John Deere tractor) entered a float in the 2010 Homecoming parade. The theme was "Mythic Physiological Function of the Griffin." The griffin's head was made by Katie Worcester and his wings by Kristin Kirkland. The Griffin (played by Tom Weniger) was on a treadmill hooked up to medical equipment. Posters on the side of the float announced how much better in shape The Griffin was compared to the U. of Delaware Blue Hen. On parade day Courtney Sutton, Kat Rusnak, Stephanie Mutchler, Katie Worcester, Tom Weniger and Erin Skipper participated in the float. Due to their hard work and enthusiasm, the float was awarded 2nd place. Thank you to all who participated.
