9th Annual Graduate Symposium

The Physics Department congratulates the following students  on their recent accomplishments awarded  at the 9th Annual Graduate Symposium held at the College of William and Mary on March 26 and 27, 2010:

 

Nathaniel Phillips,  Physics Department,   Advisor: Irina Novikova, won the Northrop Grumman Corporation Award for Excellence in Scholarship in the Natural and Computational Sciences
 

  Title of  Paper - Quantum memory under conditions of electromagnetically induced transparency and four-wave mixing in a hot atomic gas

Jonathan Skuza, Physics Department, Advisor:  Ale Lukaszew,  won the Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Mentoring in the Natural and Computational Sciences
