About the Performers
Aimo Pagin’s musical expression and technical skill in communicating sound have drawn widespread praise in the world of music. After winning First Prize at the Concours Musical de France in Paris at age fourteen, he went on to be a prizewinner at numerous national and international competitions, including First Prize at the Palma D’Oro International Piano Competition (Italy). He was also a prizewinner at the International George Enescu Competition (Bucharest), the Valsesia Musica (Milan), the Premio Pianistico Pausilypon (Naples), the Ferrol International Piano Competition (Spain), and the Jacopo Linussio International Piano Competition (Italy).
Mr. Pagin has appeared as soloist with the New Symphony Orchestra (Bulgaria), the Berliner Symphoniker, the Bucarest Philarmonic , and Orchestre National de Montpellier. A former student of Leon Fleisher, he has performed at such renowned concert halls as Carnegie Hall (NYC), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Beethoven-Haus (Bonn), Tonhalle (Zürich), Societa dei Concerti Milano, Palais des Beaux-arts Bruxelles, and BBC London. Aimo Pagin has also appeared at music festivals such as Festival Chopin (Paris), Festvail de Radio-France (Montpellier), Chopin Gesellschaft Hannover, Ushuaia International Festival, Mendelssohn Musikwoche Wengen, and the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival.
