Emanuele Stefanori has a M.A. in Italian Studies from the University of Rome “Roma Tre”. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Italian Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His dissertation tentatively titled “The De(tech)tive Tools: The Role of Technology in Italian Detective Fiction” analyzes the role of forensic science and technological elements in Italian crime stories from the 1930s to the present. His research interests include Italian language, Italian contemporary literature, genre fiction, film studies, and second language acquisition theory.
