Caitlin Brown received her Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University in 2017. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she earned her B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College. Her research interests include civil society and social movements, protest, democracy and democratization, and the politics of sub-Saharan Africa. An extensive world traveler, she has studied and done field research in South Africa and Namibia. She primarily teaches classes in comparative politics and international relations.
