Allan Beckmann '05 recently left the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to begin the Master of Public Administration program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. (2009)

Michael Brennan '05 is in his final year at Harvard Law School. He will be an associate in the D.C. office of Hogan & Hartson in the fall. (2009)

Daniel Frank '05 is a Geospatial Analyst and Proposal Specialist for Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging, in Alexandria. He obtained an M.S. in Geographic and Cartographic Sciences from George Mason University in May 2008. (2009)

Thomas Gates '05 is pursuing a Master's of Public Policy at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. (2009)

Darcy Newsome '05 is expecting to receive a Master's of Environmental Management from Yale University School for Forestry and Environmental Studies in May 2009. (2009)

Cara Passaro '05 is a Legislative Aide for the House Majority in the Connecticut General Assembly. (2009)

Darcy Newsome Peth  '05 - I completed my Masters of Environmental Management at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2009, married Ian Peth in July 2010, and am working as an environmental consultant in Seattle. (12/10)

Christine M. Simpson '05 is enrolled at Oxford University (Lincoln College) where she won a Clarendon Scholarship to pursue a two-year Master of Philosophy degree in Comparative Politics. (2009)

Michelle Tate '05 currently works for the Florida House of Representatives doing research for the Economic Development and Community Affairs Policy Council. Previously, she worked in the Speaker's Office as Correspondence Director and in the Governor's Office for Governor Jeb Bush. (9/10)

E. Pierce Blue '06 - On January 3rd, 2011, I will begin an appointment as a Special Assistant and Attorney-Advisor to Commissioner Chai Feldblum at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). (12/11)

Shamus Brennan '06 is finishing an MA thesis in International Relations following a year at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa; in addition, he works in D.C. for the Open Society Justice Initiative. (2009)

Justin Hage '06 - After two years at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and two years at the Committee on Ways and Means, I am now working for the Indiana Office of Management and Budget and attending law school in the evening program at the IU School of Law- Indianapolis. (10/11)

Justin Hage '06 works for Deputy U.S. Trade Representative John Veroneau. This is his first D.C job and it has been a great experience; he has learned a tremendous amount by working for a deputy cabinet level official in a unique, small, and internationally oriented executive agency. (2009)

Mary Humphreys '06 worked as a legislative aide/correspondent in the office of Congressman Tom Perriello (VA-5) but moved to Massachusetts this summer for graduate school. She is pursuing a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy degree at the Fletcher School at Tufts University. (9/10)

John Isabella '06 is a Mergers and Acquisitions Financial Analyst at Thomson Financial in NYC. In June 2007, he ran in the San Diego Rock ‘N' Roll Marathon as a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, and raised over $4,000 for blood cancer research and support programs. (2009)

Katelyn Johnson '06 is pursuing her Master's degree in Public Policy at the George Mason University School of Public Policy, and was recently engaged to fellow W&M alum, Nathan Chubb ‘06. (2009)

Daniel Maliniak '06 is a graduate student at University of California, San Diego, in political science. (2009)

Thomas Pantazes '06 is with the Commodity Markets Council, a small trade association representing the commodity markets and their users in D.C. (2009)

Anthony Wentzell '06  - I moved to Chicago in January, 2011 for an opportunity with Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor with the Global Private Client Group. (03/11)

Danny Brothers '07 moved to Israel after graduation and became an Israeli citizen. He is currently studying Hebrew, and will begin a two year army stint in August, serving in an infantry combat brigade. (2009)

Kate Leary '07 is finishing her Latin American Studies M.A. at Stanford University and will be entering Berkeley's public policy program in the fall for the two year MPP. (2009)

Benjamin Locher '07 - Started work as a web developer at Engage ( (10/13)

Ben Marzouk '07 - Graduated from University of Virginia School of Law in May 2011. Moved to the Washington, DC region, and began work as an attorney in the financial services practice group of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in October. (10/11)

Thomas Thompson '07 was awarded a summer and academic year Foreign Language Area Scholarships to fund fully her MA Program in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He will be travelling to Morocco this summer to complete a course in upper advanced Arabic and Moroccan dialect. (2009)

Kendra Wergin '07 joined Teach for America after graduation and resides in Alexandria. She teaches Spanish and Model United Nations outside of D.C. at Central High School in Prince George's County, MD. (2009)

Brian Chiglinsky '08 - I've been in DC for the past year or so, and have been working in the Department of Health and Human Services on communications for a number of issues, including the provisions of the Affordable Care Act. (05/11)

Jeff Dailey '10 works at the DC office of the law firm Vinson and Elkins, LLP working on condemnation and eminent domain cases. (9/10)

Alexander Leach '10 is currently working at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, a liberal polling firm in Washington D.C. (9/10)
