For Prospective Students

Why We're Different

Application-oriented program designed for students with no coding background

Proximity to D.C. allows interaction with real-world policymakers and problems

Flexibility to tailor the program to your own interests

Research opportunities and affiliations across campus, including Linguistics, Biology, Applied Science, Government, and more

Investigation of the moral implications of algorithms for society

Our Data Science students explore patterns in large data sets and identify potential trends and insights. Our approach is interdisciplinary, blending topics from many fields: communications, philosophy, mathematics, computer science, and information science. This approach means that you are not expected to begin our program with a computer programming background.
