On October 21, 2021, the Classical Studies department welcomed alumni/ae and friends for our first homecoming reception since the Covid pandemic began. To maintain pandemic safety, we held this reception on the front porch of Boswell (formerly Morton) Hall. The scene was not quite as august as our normal setting in the departmental library, but it was equally festive!
This year's homecoming was particularly meaningful to our 2020 graduates, whose original commencement ceremony was cancelled by the pandemic. On the same day, they were able to attend their rescheduled ceremony with commencement speaker Anthony Fauci (Classics '62, Holy Cross).
