The Llanso-Sherman Scholarship

This scholarship supports summer independent research by a rising senior who has indicated interest in a career in medical research. It was established by Mr. Peter Neufeld '58 to honor the memory of Thomas Harlan Llanso '59 who died from diabetes and Alan Clarke "Smokey" Sherman '58 who died from Lou Gehrig's disease.

The recipient is selected by the departments of Biology and Chemistry on a rotating basis. Please speak with the Chair of the appropriate department if you have questions.

In 2016, the award will go to a Biology student.
