Academic Coursework

The primary goal of the Sharpe Program is to connect academic coursework with community experience. Sharpe students get to take courses specifically designed to make this connection.

During the fall of their freshman year, Sharpe students enroll in a specially-designed COLL150 seminar to support their development of community-engaged research skills.

For the remainder of their first year at William & Mary, scholars will be encouraged to participate in LLC programming, develop summer research ideas, and pursue a variety of public service, outreach, leadership and civic participation opportunities.
