The mission of the Center for Geospatial Analysis is to integrate GIS across the William & Mary curriculum and to provide students and faculty with access to Geographic Imaging System (GIS) hardware, software, courses, and consulting services.
GIS is a way to visualize, analyze, and display spatial data. With the aid of software and hardware, GIS allows scientists, policy makers, and researchers at W&M to better interpret and share their work.
The CGA was launched in 2008 with the assistance of a significant grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation. For a complete description of the CGA's programs, please visit their website.
