Faculty Reading Groups
The Charles Center invites Arts & Sciences faculty to suggest broadly important books as candidates for faculty reading groups.
The Charles Center distributes the resulting list of books (usually six or so), and interested faculty self-select into reading groups. Often faculty read the book over the holiday break and meet for discussion during the spring term. Reading groups are led by the faculty members who initially propose the titles.
The Charles Center coordinates logistics for this initiative and provides copies of the books.
