This endowment was established in November 1992 to be used to provide financial support for undergraduate student research.
Burke Monroe Scholarship
Established in December 2010 the income will support the summer research and travel following the sophomore or junior year of the Monroe Scholar at the College with the highest GPA following his/her freshman year.
The income to be used to help support talented students' creative & artistic growth through off-campus educational experiences, either at a formal educational institution or through structured practical hands-on exposure for a summer or semester
Chappell Summer Research Scholarship
This endowment was established in 1995. The income is to be used to provide a stipend for one or more students selected as research associates to work with faculty members on summer research projects.
This endowment was established in 1992 to honor Professor Ewell's work at the College by establishing a fund to be used to provide support for one or more students to engage in summer research on topics related to Latin America.
Class of 1940 Merit Scholarship
This endowment was established by the reunion gifts of the Class of 1940 and is to be awarded to a student(s) in good standing, thereby helping to attract and retain exceptional students at the College of William & Mary, regardless of their place of residence.
Class of 1943 Scholarship
This fund was established in 1990 with gifts from the Class of 1943. Income is to be used for undergraduate summer research in the School of Arts and Sciences.
Class of 1954 Scholarship
This fund was established in October 2003 to support academically qualified students to attend William and Mary through merit-based scholarships under the College Scholars Program.
Class of 1968 Undergraduate Research Scholarship
The income from this fund shall be used to provide undergraduate research for deserving students, one-half of which will focus their research in an international field study.
Cohen Summer Research Scholarship
This endowment was established by Elliot E. Cohen ’37 to support undergraduate research in Arts and Sciences, and is awarded each summer on a competitive basis without regard to academic field.
This endowment was established in 1989 to support summer stipends, equipment, materials, and associated expenses for one or more minority students in the Sciences.
Daily Press Journalist Fund
This endowment was established in 1982 by the Board of Directors of the Daily Press. The income is to provide support for the Journalist-Residence program.
Davis Scholarship for Research
This expendable scholarship will support summer undergraduate research in humanities and the arts with a preference for students who require international travel to conduct their research.
Dintersmith Fellows Endowment
This endowment was established in 2009 to provide financial support for honors students and their faculty advisers during their honors research projects.
The English-Stonehouse Fellowship has been made possible by the generosity of Cory English, of Alexandria, Virginia. The award provides a stipend of $5,000 per year, for two years, for the English-Stonehouse Faculty Fellow; $5,000 per year, for two years, for the English-Stonehouse Student Fellows, and $1,000 per year for research-related expenses.
Girton and Bright Scholarship
This endowment was created in February 1991 to provide assistance to one or more undergraduate students in the arts and sciences based on academic merit.
The income from this endowment shall provide a stipend each year to a J. Edward Grimsley Fellow to help support a summer experience in journalism.
This endowment was established in 1986 with a gift from Nathan P. Jacobs and is to support a student or students studying in Israel.
Kraemer European Studies Scholarship
Established in 2001 by Richard C. Kraemer ’65, this fund supports study abroad in the British Isles.
This scholarship was established in 1991 and is to be used to attract and retain the brightest and most promising students without regard to demonstrated financial need and under the aegis of the Monroe Scholars program.
This endowment was established in 1981 to support respected and effective teacher-scholars. Recipients of such financial support will be designated as Lambert Scholars.
Llanso Sherman Scholarship
This endowment was established in 1985 with income to support a rising senior at the College of William and Mary in an annual summer research program in one of the pre-medical sciences.
Louis Summer Research Scholarship
This endowment was established through the estate of Chloe Louis in June 2005. Income is to support one or more undergraduate students pursuing summer research on a topic of intercultural/international significance or conducted outside the United States.
McGlennon-Rapoport Summer Research
Established in January 2010, this endowment will provide a student research fund with preference given to students who are majoring in Government or related disciplines, i.e. Public Policy, etc., and conducting research for their honors theses.

To support a program for undergraduate research in Global Studies.

Morton-Brown Research Endowment
The income is to be used for such opportunities as work-study stipends, summer scholarships, funding for field studies, travel allowances and other research related activities, specifically in support of programs focused on the bio-med disciplines.
Reilly Undergraduate Summer Scholarship
The James B. Reilly Undergraduate Summer Scholarship was established in December 2004. Income shall be used to provide support to an undergraduate student's summer research in collaboration with a faculty member regarding Public Policy issues.
Renick Memorial Award
This endowment was established in 1981 to provide merit assistance to recognize those students who display the qualities of a Rhodes Scholar.
Sayford Student Research Endowment
This endowment was established in 1992 to support research opportunities for deserving students.
Sharp Public Writing Endowment
This endowment was established in April 2010 to provide support for programmatic needs associated with the Sharp Writer-in-Residence.
Sizemore Journalism Fellowship
This endowment was established in 1998 to provide an annual award to a graduating senior who will immediately pursue graduate studies in the field of journalism.
Tang Faculty-Student Research Scholarship
The income is to be used to provide unrestricted support for faculty and student research in Arts and Sciences.
Taylor Public Affairs Scholarship
Established through a bequest, this fund provides support for work in an unpaid summer internship in Public Affairs.
The income shall provide scholarship assistance for a merit-based (3.0 GPA or greater) academically distinguished students are rising juniors pursuing the GER 7 requirements for Humanities and Social Sciences.
Weingartner Student Fellowship
The income shall provide a fellowship program for students with a summer stipend and research budget. The fellows will be selected by a competitive process to pursue research on global challenges.
