For many years Millington Hall was home to the Biology and Psychology departments, both of which have partly relocated to the new, adjacent Integrated Science Center. The building continues to house the Biology Department's rooftop greenhouse, which was built in 1969.

On the north side of Millington Hall is a magnificent Weeping Cherry (Prunus subhirtella pendula). The west side of the building features a large Leyland Cypress (Cupressocyparis leylandi) and several European Hornbeam (Carpinus betulas). Chinese Holly (Ilex cornuta) line the walkway to the west entrance.
