Julia Polentes
Herbarium Assistant
Julia Polentes '16 began volunteering as a sophomore at the College of William and Mary in 2014, and was hired as an Herbarium Assistant January, 2015. She works processing specimens by mounting specimens and labels on archival paper, and performing other tasks to assist the curator, when not studying biology and philosphy. Julia is passionate about plants and has worked several summers on an organic vegetable farm in northern Virginia.
Update 2016: After a summer working on a farm in the Hudson River valley in New York State, Julia is tutoring and writing, living in the Hampton Roads area.
