The Anthro Club is a student run organization sponsored by the Department of Anthropology with the assistance of a faculty advisor. The Club holds monthly meetings and offers a range of programs and social events, frequently including pizza! In past years the Anthro Club has held career nights, engaged off-campus speakers, and conducted field trips to such destinations as archaeological sites and primate centers at zoological parks.
The Collective is open to all graduate students of the Department of Anthropology, and forms a part of the College-wide Graduate Student Association. The Collective is an organization run by current Anthropology graduate students. The organization coordinates social events, hosts distinguished speakers, and facilitates other public outreach events within the College and local communities. Activities vary from year to year depending on the goals of the students involved at the time. Some of the past goals have been to develop community among the subdisciplines, represent student concerns to faculty, and help with orientation and mentoring of incoming students.
The Graduate Student Association is open to all graduate students in the Arts & Sciences and provides social and academic outlets.
