Why W&M

In my educational journey, I search for the art and science of combination, where diverse elements come together to create unity: I celebrate individuals and communities, traditions and innovations, and learning in and outside of the classroom. Throughout my college process, I sought an environment where my peers and I would be challenged yet supported, could develop academically and personally, and could remain true to our identities and experiences while experiencing intellectual transformation. At William & Mary, where people from across the world form a distinct community, where students of different subjects engage in interdisciplinary conversations, and where transformative ideas blend with concentrated effort, I have found my home!

Across William & Mary’s idyllic campus, I will carry my open mind and understanding heart, pursuing my interests and taking intellectual risks. Surrounded by other curious learners and leaders, I will continue to create the combinations and connections that captivate me, using action and education to change tomorrow for the better.
