Why William & Mary
There's a certain depth at William and Mary that other universities simply can't obtain--depth in meaningful student conversations, depth in the stunning, historically-rooted campus, depth (and breadth) in academic study. Visiting William and Mary, I was struck by an overwhelming sense that I belonged. Sure, I considered other colleges. I think my dad put it best, though, when he turned to me and said "William and Mary just gets you." He told me that W&M seemed to understand and accept who I am academically and personally. My acceptance into the 1693 Scholars Program (for which I am so incredibly grateful) proved him right. I am very excited by the prospect of attending this college. I feel at home already, and I'm certain that this institution will provide me with the tools I need to create the stimulating, challenging future I've always desired.
