From the Colonial Capital to the Nation’s Capital: Opportunities for All Students. You know about study abroad, come learn about W&M Study in DC! In 2019, more than 200 students took W&M courses with W&M professors in the W&M Washington Center. Study in DC courses combine academic rigor and real world experience and are offered throughout the year. Topics range from politics to history, environment to the arts, news & media to community engagement and many include guaranteed internships.

Life on a Green Campus, W&M's Sustainability Efforts

As far back as Aristotle and Plato, education has always been set in a garden. W&M is no exception, but it is still exceptional – the greenest of green campuses. Several years ago, W&M students endorsed a green fee that channels $100,000 per semester towards sustainability efforts on campus which are researched and implemented by student fellows. Our devotion to sustainability ensures that William & Mary will have as much to offer future generations as it does to you now.
