Who Am I?
As a born-and-raised southeastern Virginian, William & Mary has always been part of my backyard. Whether exploring the shops and cafés of Duke of Gloucester Street or taking prom pictures across the W&M campus, this area has always been special. Though I ultimately decided to pursue my undergraduate degree elsewhere in a pursuit to explore somewhere new, I could not be more excited to be back! After working in admission for over two years I could not be more thrilled to perform the work I love most in the area I know best.
I first caught the Admission bug while serving as a tour guide in my undergraduate career. After having the opportunity to interact with prospective students and to show them why higher education is so important, I knew this was going to be a lifelong passion for me. I like to think of myself as more of an Admission Counselor as opposed to a Dean of Admission. My philosophy is that I am here to help guide you through the process every step of the way, whether that be helping you decide to go Early or Regular Decision, or something much simpler like how to contact one of our academic departments. No question, email, or phone call is too small!
Let's start with the look of campus...the traditional brick buildings and scenic quads make me want to enroll for a class every time I drive to work in the morning! Beyond that, you could not find a more caring and welcoming campus. The professors and faculty are so student-centered that you will always find a mentor and an advisor who can open doors to research, professional shadowing, or even a potential job connection. Outside of the classroom you'll be welcomed and supported by an incredibly diverse and dedicated student body who will welcome you into over 450 students organizations with open arms and a smile. Moreover, who wouldn't want to grow and learn at a place that has produced multiple United States presidents, award-winning actors/actresses, and a Super Bowl-winning coach?
- I am a HUGE Harry Potter nerd! I even stood in line for five hours the second day Harry Potter World opened. Go Slytherin!
- I am ambidextrous. I read applications with both my left and right eyes! But I could also write them with both hands.
- I went to the midnight premiere for all five Twilight Saga films.
