W&M Department Awards


This page is intended to provide some information on various department awards at William & Mary. These are funds a student can apply for individually with these departments. This is not an exhaustive list, we encourage students to check with departments, clubs, and organizations they are a part of at William & Mary to determine if they have an award or scholarship they can apply for.

Please note that all awards and scholarships that are awarded by departments may have an impact on a student's financial aid award package. 

William & Mary Alumni Sponsored Scholarships:
  • Hulon Willis Scholarship - Sponsored by the Alumni Association. Only current students are eligible. Two successful applicants will be awarded $2,000 scholarships. Application Deadline: April 2, 2022.
  • The Order of The White Jacket For current students employed in food service that work on campus or in the Williamsburg community. Application Deadline: March 25, 2022.

Residence Life Student Staff positions that provide housing scholarships for Undergraduate and Graduate students. Residential Life Student Staff are student leaders who develop valuable leadership skills such as communication, building rapport, creating connections, and managing conflict while making a substantive contribution to the campus community. Seeking students committed to developing inclusive communities and intentional experiences, eager to support and make an impact! Remuneration for the role includes a scholarship for on-campus housing and a $3,000 stipend for the academic year. 

The Revolutionary Guard Battalion: The Revolutionary Guard Battalion offers 4, 3, and 2 years of on-campus scholarships covering full college tuition and educational fees to undergraduate and graduate students. Upon completing ROTC and degree requirements, you will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Active Army, Army Reserve, or the National Guard.

Army ROTC Scholarship: Covers full tuition and fees OR full room and board.

Student Activities – Organization, Conference, and Event Funding: The Student Activities Accountant serves as a financial resource to all organizations and advises them on William & Mary's policies. The Conference Fund and Special Activities/Event Funds are two financial programs that are in place to assist students with additional funding for conferences and campus programming efforts.

School of Education Financial Aid: This site offers information on departmental scholarships and graduate assistantships.

Law School Financial Aid: This site offers Law students information about financial aid, Virginia in-state tuition, and scholarships.

Mason School of Business Full-time MBA Program Financial Aid: This site has information for full-time MBA students regarding scholarships and graduate assistantships.
