The Wren Chapel may be reserved for the weddings of William & Mary students, alumni, current faculty and staff, and the children of anyone in those groups. Only one of the people getting married is required to have a W&M affiliation.
Alumni are defined as those who have successfully completed at least one semester in a degree-granting program at William & Mary. The Wren Chapel is open to people of all faiths.
Weddings may be booked on any day of the week. We reserve two hours for the ceremony and an hour the day before for a rehearsal. On Saturdays, weddings are booked in the following two-hour blocks:
- 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
- 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
All activities relating to the wedding — decorating, seating of guests, ceremony, photography, clean-up — must be accomplished within this two-hour period. The ceremony should be scheduled to begin at least a half hour into your reservation. At busy times of the year, other events may be scheduled immediately before or after your reserved time.
There is a $650 fee for use of the Wren Chapel. It should be paid by check or money order (sorry, no credit cards). A non-refundable $250 deposit is due at contract signing to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due at least 30 days in advance of your rehearsal date.
