Strategic Space Planning

Welcome to Starategic Space Planning on the campus of William & Mary where we have been managing spaces, indoor and outdoor, for over 300 years. Our originalfloorplans come from the Bodleian plate of 1748. It is the only known eighteenth-century architectural drawing of Williamsburg’s principal buildings including the Wren Building. To assist us in our mission, we rely on the space extension of the FAMIS (Facilities and Asset Management) software. Tracking spaces, assets tied to those spaces, inventory  and being able to display building spaces by Departmental ownership, use and functionality are services offered to customers.  Additionally , current floor plans in pdf and soon CAD will be available for download from the Document section.  In the near future, a concurrently running GIS AGOL ( ArcGIS on-line)site will up and running with similar dataestes and extend layers.

If you are need of help with finding square footage, your room number, official names of buildings, etc., please navigate to famis.wm.edu and when you login, navigate to the upper right corner and click on "Space".  Click on the Visual map tab and peruse the building drop down menu to find your building.
