About
Mara Dicenta Vilker, Assistant Professor, holds a joint appointment with Anthropology and the Institute for Integrative Conservation. She obtained her Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Center of Science, Technology, and Society, at Maimonides University in Buenos Aires. Broadly focused on environmental science, conservation ethics, environmental anthropology, and social justice, she has completed a case study of the environmental impacts of introducing beaver into Tierra Del Fuego, to produce a richer understanding of the Anthropocene.
