About

Denita Hudson, Clinical Assistant Professor of Education, earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University and M.S. in Community Counseling from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Hudson has been a licensed professional for 20 years and has held positions in community mental health, on university and college counseling centers, and in-state vocational and rehabilitation programs. She currently has a small practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an educator, she has taught clinical mental health students on both traditional and online university campuses for over 15 years. Her current research interests are in the areas of best practice in online pedagogy, neuro-counseling focused on anxiety, generational trauma in African American families, Global Counseling, Advocacy and Leadership for Diversity Equality and Inclusion in Higher Education.
