About
Fernando Galeana-Rodriguez, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Integrative Conservation, obtained his Ph.D. in development sociology from Cornell University. His areas of expertise are political ecology, development studies, and rural sociology, with a current research focuses on how efforts to title the collective landholdings of indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples in Latin America can contribute to emancipation, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation. He will teach environmental justice, political ecology of conservation, community development, and research methods.
