Background
Andrew Farinholt Ward, Lecturer of Classical Studies, earned his Ph.D. in Classical Art History and Archaeology from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. His research focuses on the archaeology and visual culture of the pre-Roman Mediterranean, and specifically in understanding how ancient Greek and Phoenician migrations affected and were affected by the cultures that they encountered. His teaching assignments will include courses on Greek Art & Archaeology, ancient “colonization,” and the Latin language.
