Andrew Tobolowsky

Assistant Professor of Religious Studies

Andrew Tobolowsky, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and received his Ph.D. from Brown University. He previously taught at Brown, Georgetown, and Wheaton College in Norton, MA. His research and teaching focus on the Hebrew Bible, the history of ancient Israel, and comparisons with both the ancient Near East and the Classical Mediterranean. More broadly, his work explores how and why we tell stories about the past, and how these are shaped by what we want them to do.
