We are excited to welcome Eleanor Loiacono as an Associate Professor at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business in the area of Operations and Information Systems Management starting this Fall. Eleanor joins us from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where she was a Professor of Information Technology. She received a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from University of Georgia, a Master of Business Administration from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Boston University. Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and people, and understanding how and why people use information systems, and is the founder and director of the Inclusive Design and Accessibility (IDEA) Hub at WPI. Additionally, she is currently leading an initiative under the Association for Information Systems to use student interns to move small business online in response to COVID-19. Having held leadership roles at the Special Interest Group on Computer–Human Interaction (SIGHCI) and the Association for IS Women’s Network, as well as serving as a Senior Editor for Transactions on Human Computer Interactions and on the Scientific Board of Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Research, Eleanor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to W&M and we look forward to having her as part of the MSOB team.
