S.P. Harish, Assistant Professor of Government, obtained his Ph.D. in political science at New York University. Most recently he was a postdoctoral fellow in global governance at the Institute for the Study of International Development at McGill University. His specialties are comparative politics, with an emphasis on state capacity, nation-building, political violence, and energy access. He will teach courses on comparative politics, the politics of South and Southeast Asia, and spatial methods for political and social research.
