Brian P. Woolfolk, J.D. '96

Brian P. WoolfolkMr. Woolfolk earned his B.A. in criminal justice from the University of Maryland in 1992, and his J.D. from the William & Mary Law School in 1996. A principal with Swan Creek Strategies, Mr. Woolfolk has worked in government relations and congressional investigations for more than 20 years. Before joining Swan Creek Strategies, he served with Squire Sanders Public Advocacy (2010-2014) and Mattox Woolfolk (1999-2010), which he co-founded. His practice has focused on technology, media, financial services, telecommunications and renewable energy matters. Prior to his tenure in private practice, Mr. Woolfolk served as minority counsel on the U.S. House Judiciary Committee and advised committee members and staff on constitutional, environmental antitrust, criminal justice and investigative issues. Prior to his work for the committee, Mr. Woolfolk served as legislative counsel to Congressman Robert C. (Bobby) Scott; while attending law school, he worked in Representative Scott’s district office in Newport News. Mr. Woolfolk served as a member of the Presidential Search Committee for the 28th President of William & Mary (2017-2018).
