Lisa E. Roday P '13, '14

Ms. Roday graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1979 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism. She earned her J.D. in 1982 from Brooklyn Law School, and has been a member of the New York State Bar ever since. She practiced matrimonial law from 1982 to 1996 in Manhattan, where she was a partner and then served as her firm’s Managing Partner for several years. She served on the Board of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (New York Chapter) and was a founder of the Network for Women’s Services, an organization that mentored young lawyers who represented victims of domestic violence on a pro bono basis. Ms. Roday was an adjunct professor at the T.C. Williams School of Law and a substitute teacher at The Collegiate School. Ms. Roday was the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Specialist at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond from 2008 to 2011. She was responsible for establishing that program, which was the first of its kind in the Virginia Chapter. In 2011, she was the recipient of the National Leading Practice of the Year award for the March of Dimes Close to Me Module, a program that promotes early and frequent skin-to-skin contact between premature infants and their parents. She was also recognized state-wide with the Pat Rose Staff Excellence Award in 2011. Currently, Ms. Roday is the Chief Operating Officer of FireIce Solutions, LLC, an exclusive distributor of FireIce®, a non-toxic, non-corrosive and eco-friendly fire suppression and prevention gel. She has been a self-employed consultant for over 20 years, providing legal expertise to a variety of individuals and business areas. She is very involved in her community and serves on the boards of The Collegiate School in Richmond and Congregation Or Atid in Henrico, where she also chairs the Board of Trustees and founded and chairs its Endowment Fund. She and her husband, Leon, are the proud parents of two William & Mary alumni, Harrison and Ethan. She previously served as the Board Liaison to the William & Mary Race Relations Implementation Team (2016-2018) and as a member of the Presidential Search Committee for the 28th President of William & Mary (2017-2018).
