Anne Leigh Kerr '91, J.D. '98

Anne Leigh KerrMs. Kerr earned her B.A. in Government from William & Mary in 1991, and her J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 1998. Ms. Kerr is the president of Kerr Government Strategies in Richmond, where she represents business interests and trade associations for multiple industries on state-level government-relations matters. Prior to opening her own firm, she worked as Director of Troutman Sanders Strategies for 17 years. Ms. Kerr has also served as legislative counsel to Waste Management of Virginia, policy advisor to Lt. Governor Don Beyer, and special assistant to the director of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. For over 10 years, Ms. Kerr has been recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of the “Legal Elite in Legislative & Regulatory Law.” 

Ms. Kerr has been involved in multiple community organizations, including serving as a member of the Board of Visitors for Mount Vernon, and on the boards of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, the City of Richmond Tourism Commission and the Virginia Public Access Project.
