Writing Portfolio Submission

Transfer students who have not fulfilled their lower-division writing credit at William and Mary may submit a portfolio for evaluation to the Writing Program Director.

The portfolio should include samples of formal, analytical academic writing (thesis-support structure) totaling at least 24 pages. The total pages should be compiled from a minimum of three or four papers that, preferably, come from a variety of classes and may be from any discipline. If possible, the student should submit copies of the graded, final versions of the papers with professor comments.
