Virginia Shakespeare Festival

Auditions

In 2009 the Festival will hold auditions in three locations:

Washington, DC on January 12 (callbacks Jan. 13)
New York City on January 16 and 17 (callbacks Jan. 18)
Williamsburg, VA on January 31 (callbacks Feb. 1)

 

We will audition for the following levels:

  • Equity: Tier II Guest Artist Contract
  • Non-Equity Resident company (grad school and beyond)
  • Acting Internships (for undergraduate theatre students)

To audition at any of these levels, please send a photo and resume by December 10, 2008 to Christopher Owens, Producing Artistic Director, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, PO Box 8795, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795, noting your preferred audition location. We will call you with an appointment time.

Everyone auditioning should prepare one or two Shakespeare monologues to fit in a three-minute time frame.
