Mr. Bean is the Director of the Technology and Business Center at the College of William and Mary.  He graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in electrical engineering. He has over 30 years experience in technology-based organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 1000 companies. His responsibilities have included engineering, sales and marketing management, general manager, and division president positions with John Fluke Manufacturing Company, Marconi Instruments, Schlumberger Smart Cards, and Wandel & Golterman.  Before joining William and Mary, he ran a consulting company, RB Associates.
