About Us
PSF is a student-run non-profit organization committed to public interest
law. We fund stipends for law students working in non-paid summer jobs
to provide much-needed legal services to the underprivileged, as well
as state and local government agencies. Our distributions are based
on the money we raise.
In 2007, PSF awarded nearly $47,000 in summer stipends to students interning
in the US and abroad in such organizations as the Student Refugees Project,
Bronx Defenders-Voter Enfranchisement Project, Domestic Violence Legal
Empowerment & Appeals Project, Educate Pakistan, International Bridges
to Justice, National Immigrant Justice Center, Model Forest Policy Program,
Nature Conservancy, Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Philadelphia
Volunteers for the Indigent Program, Oklahoma Indian Legal Services,
Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, and a number of public defenders and
Legal Aid societies.
