The College of William and Mary International Relations Club

IR Club Board 2008-2009

President: Tyler Hosford tmhosf@wm.edu, is a Senior majoring in History with a minor in East Asian Studies.  He grew up overseas, spending the majority of his time in Hong Kong and other places in China (perhaps explaining his unhealthy obsession with the region).  He was an active member of the IR Club in previous years and has been involved in many different areas of the club.  He enjoys sports of almost any kind and welcomes any and all invitations to any form of sporting event, either as a player or a spectator.  He works at the Marriott in Williamsburg, spent the summer working at the Marriott in Beijing, and has thought of doing something in the hotel world upon graduation.  He has actually thought of doing lots of things after graduation, but so far the only concrete plan is to put that off until he actually needs to deal with it.  He likes to travel and comes up with awesome ideas for a vacation which to his roommate has said, “Tyler comes up with a new place everyday, so I won’t really listen unless he talks about it for two weeks.”  He is very excited to work with both old and new club members to make this year a very memorable one.

Vice President for Campus: Lindsay Brannan ljbran@wm.edu, is a junior and international relations major.  Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Lindsay hopes to attend graduate school and study international security after graduation.  She has been a member of the IRC for three years, and last year she served on the Secretariat for WMIDMUN. In addition to her membership in the International Relations Club, Lindsay is an active member of CKI, a service organization, and of the Monitor, the journal for international studies.  Lindsay can't wait to serve the IRC this year as VP campus!

Vice President of Model United Nations: Tom Kinslow tpkins@wm.edu, is really excited to be running our Model United Nations program this year.  A senior at the College, Tom enjoys movies, long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners... sorry - wrong "about me" blurb.  Tom's been an active member of the club since his freshman year, and has loved every minute of it!  A finance and government double major, Tom is currently soliciting ideas for what he should do after graduation - please let him know if you have any suggestions.  On campus, he is also a member of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity, an Orientation Aide, and works for Recreational Sports as an Intramural Supervisor and Lifeguard.  In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling, playing sports, reading, listening to music, and hanging out with friends.

Director of Finance: Bryan Callaway bwcall@wm.edu, Director of Fianance, is a senior majoring in economics, and served last year as the USG-SA for the club's high school MUN conference, WMHSMUN. When not mismanaging the club's funds, he is also a TA, and the clean-up batter for the club's IM Softball team.

Director of Communications:
Sarah Argodale seargo@wm.edu, is a junior and a Russian Studies/Government double major. Sarah is travelling to Russia this summer, and hopes to continue her studies of Eastern Europe in graduate school. A particpant in MUN since her freshman year of high school, she is very excited about this year's IR club. Last year she was a member of the IRC's first ever service committee. Besides IR club, Sarah is also a research assistant in the Russian Department, a Student Mentor, and an Orientation Aide. When she has time, Sarah likes running and doing crossword puzzles.

Secretary-General of WMHSMUN XXII: R.C. Rasmus rcrasm@wm.edu, Secretary-General, is overjoyed to be leading the incredible group of people tasked with bringing WMHSMUN XXII to life. A rising senior and a double-major in English and Literary and Cultural Studies at the College, this is R.C.'s third year serving on the WMHSMUN Secretariat and his eighth year as a dedicated Model UNer. In addition to participating in events sponsored by the William and Mary International Relations Club, R.C. also writes for several campus publications, serves on the Executive Board of the Student Mentor Program, and acts as Legal Consultant for R.L. Rasmus Asset Advisers. He eventually plans to pursue a career in intellectual property law.

Secretary-General of WMIDMUN VII: Sravya Yeleswarapu nsyele@wm.edu

IRC Service Chair: Mireille Williams Sharp mlwill@wm.edu, is a junior and currently calls Nairobi, Kenya home.  She has also lived in Congo, Swaziland, and Cambodia, and loves traveling, spicy food, and warm weather.  She misses living overseas, and so was happy to find a club full of people with similar interests in the rest of the world!  Mireille is majoring in Economics and is on the pre-med track and can't wait to get started doing IRC Service again this year with Doctors Without Borders!
