Advocacy Work
- Two-ply Toilet Paper
After much work with Res Life, there is now two-ply toilet paper in all residence halls. - WM Express
We now have WM Express back at the Health Center starting July 1st. There were many reasons as to why the Health Center stopped using Express, including the large monthly and yearly maintenance fees and the high 3% transaction fee. We have worked with the adminstration to wave the maintenance fees and we have found money to add to the Health Center budget to cover the transaction fees. CVS has also joined the program and we are working on signing up Food Lion and the Cheese Shop. - Peep Holes in all Residence Halls
After the incident in Landrum Hall, we have worked to install peep holes into all dorm room doors. Peep Holes will be going into all new dorm renovations and building projects, and we are working on adding them to existing dorm rooms.Work in Progress
- Student Health Care
We are working with the Health Center to develop a cheaper student health care program that would be included under the tuition statement and guarantee 100% coverage at the Health Center and 90% coverage at all health care centers in Williambsurg. You would pay a flat $200 payment with your tuition in the beginning of the year, and then recieve free coverage at the Health Center, including all exams, prescriptions, shots, stitches, etc. You would also only pay 10% of any medical work at any medical facility in Williamsburg, even minor surgery. We hope this program will make health care faster, cheaper, and better for students. - Flex Points at the Daily Grind
- Cheaper Prices at the Student Exchange
We hope to lower prices at the Student Exchange and add discount days were classes will recieve 10% off any item in the store. We are also looking to sell items such as cereal in bulk or generic brands to save students money.
