Letter from the President

Thank you for visiting our Website. Chances are you are here because you are interested in what KDR has to offer or you are simply curious about fraternity life in general. I hope to see you by our house in Unit A to gain a better understanding of what it means to be a member of our fraternal organization. Most importantly, I hope that the information you see and read will steer you away from the “Animal House” preconception of fraternities and fraternity brothers. Every fraternity at William and Mary has a bond that goes far beyond parties and simple stereotypes of college life, but some fraternities show this bond more than others.

Kappa Delta Rho is not your average group of men; we exude a manner indicative of fraternity gentlemen. We have diverse backgrounds, course-loads, and extra-curricular activities that make it hard to classify us as anything but different. We take academics seriously at KDR and do our best to make sure obligations are met before letting loose. At the same time we do know how to have fun and enjoy what William and Mary has to offer. You can find us on and off campus almost everywhere, but Unit A is where we call home. Anyone and everyone are welcome to come by our house for scheduled and unscheduled events. We will always take time to answer questions, get to know you, and hang out.

Kappa Delta Rho is a brotherhood best defined by our brothers. We can promise you good times and worthwhile events, but the true impact of our organization is felt only by its members who have forged life-long bonds with men that meet the ideals of our founders. “Honor above all things” is a motto that has survived the last 100 years and has guided countless numbers of men throughout the century.

It is through our ideals and character that we have created an atmosphere anyone can enjoy. I encourage you to pursue your interest in KDR and fraternity life by coming out to Unit A any time. Our RUSH calendar is up and all events are open to you and your friends.

I hope to meet you at some point even if KDR isn’t the fraternity for you. College is too short to be wasted on a mediocre experience, become a part of the best fraternity few have truly seen.

Sincerely,

Greg Socha

President of Kappa Delta Rho
