In the past, I have worked on many sustainability projects including data collection with STARS, sustainability summits, COS working groups, and Earth Week. Outside of sustainability, I am also a study abroad peer advisor.

Caroline Failon

[[e|cmfailon, Caroline Failon]] | Program Intern

My name is Caroline Failon and I am from Richmond, Virginia. I am a junior planning on majoring in Biology with a Mathematics minor. Since my freshman year at W&M I have been on the executive board of the sustainability organization called DormMania that focuses on reducing campus-wide move-out waste in the spring semester and selling the used dorm items at our fall sale. In 2017, the DormMania exec along with volunteers helped to save around 9,000 pounds of dorm room items from being thrown away! Outside of DormMania I am involved in the social sorority Pi Beta Phi as the VP of Fraternity Development. Over the summer I continued my internship for the Virginia Council for Private Education and also did some awesome lab and salt marsh field work with Virginia Institute of Marine Science in David Johnson’s Global Change Ecology Lab. I am excited to continue my interest in sustainability as a Program Intern this year!
