Update: Initial trainings and deadlines for 2016 have passed. However, if you have additional questions or concerns about the new system, Human Resources invites feedback at [[askHR]]. If you prefer not to ask HR directly, we can ask for you. Complete our online form and we will follow up with you as quickly as possible.

The following was sent by John Poma, Chief Human Resources Officer to all Classified and Operational staff on November 3, 2016:

The Office of Human Resources is happy to announce that the new Cornerstone online performance management system is almost complete and will be ready for use on Monday, November 7th. Once the system goes live, employees can access the system to complete the employee self-assessments. By way of reminder, the employee self-assessment is optional and not required. The self-assessment period will run for two weeks. Supervisors will then be required to complete your evaluation by Friday, December 16th.

When the system opens, you (as a classified or operational employee) will receive an email of invitation to complete a self-assessment from [[askHR]]. You can use the link in the email to access your evaluation, or you can go directly to the website. Use your WMuserid and password to login.

Prior to completing your self-assessment, we encourage you to attend a training session. Although the training is not mandatory, the training session will help orient you to the new system and improve your use of the system. Training times currently include:

If you prefer not to attend a training session, you may go directly to the Cornerstone Welcome Page, click on the green “My Tasks” button and follow the instructions for starting and completing the self-assessment. Your supervisor will be notified via email when the assessment is complete.

More trainings may be offered as we go through this process. Training times will be posted on our announcement webpage and on the Human Resources Events Calendar. A recording of one of the training sessions will be posted on the HR announcement website. If you would like to request specialized training for your team contact askHR@wm.edu.

We are also in process of creating user guides for the Cornerstone online evaluation system. Those guides will be posted on the Cornerstone Welcome page (the page you see after you log in to Cornerstone) and the Human Resource website when they become available.
