Sizemore Fellowship for Graduate Study in Journalism
This fellowship has been created through the generosity of William & Mary alumni Mason and Connie Sizemore. Applicants must be graduating seniors who plan to enroll in a graduate school of journalism in the fall of 2013. The recipient will receive a $17,500 award.
Applicants must submit 1 set of the following materials (paper-clipped, no staples) to the Charles Center (Blow Hall) by 12 noon on Monday April 29:
- a curriculum vitae
- a Banner transcript (must include spring 2012 course registration)
- 3 writing samples (articles, essays, etc.)
- a copy of an acceptance letter to a graduate School of Journalism
- a personal statement (2 pages, double spaced) describing your experience in journalism up to this point, your career plans, and why you have chosen the graduate school you will be attending.
Applicants must also submit one letter of recommendation from a William and Mary faculty member, in a sealed envelope with signature across the seal, along with the rest of the application.
