Foundation for Global Scholars Scholarships

The Foundation for Global Scholars is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization located in Westminster, CO, serving U.S. undergraduate and graduate students pursuing accredited study abroad programs. Through scholarships for international study, we empower future leaders to become better prepared for the fast-changing global marketplace and interdependent world.

There are several scholarships made available by the Foundation. All scholarships are available to every class level, also including medical, law, and other graduate schools.  The scholarships sponsor any study abroad programs that are one of the following: Academic Semester or Year Abroad (taking classes at an overseas university), Service Learning, Internship, Short Term Program, Research, Summer Programs, or Other program which meets all eligibility requirements specified on the website. Over 200 scholarships between $1000 and $2,500 will be awarded this calendar year for U.S. and Canadian citizens. Award amounts will vary. Most awards are $1000.

The types of scholarships offered are the general foundation scholarship (for any program that fit the specifications above), the STA travel award for photography, film, art, travel and tourism, or foreign language majors, the financial need scholarship for students offered PELL grants, the STEM scholarship, and the ethnically diverse scholarship for students who do not classify themselves as 'white and nonhispanic'.
