Quality Enhancement Plan

The concept of quality enhancement is central to the accreditation principles of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  At the time of William & Mary’s last review,  Core Requirement 2.12 specified that an institution must develop “a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined issue or issues directly related to improving student learning.” The plan had to be based on a comprehensive and thorough analysis of the effectiveness of the learning environment.

Based on more than eight years of assessment results, the college developed the following plan:
