PPFA Goals 2012-2013

Performance Planning & Evaluation Surveys

Initiated, designed and administered a survey of all professionals and professional faculty and their supervisors to learn how the performance planning and evaluation process works. Data was compiled, analyzed and a report written, then sent to College Administration. Data indicated the need for training in many areas, including performance planning and evaluation and long-term professional development.

Tuition Waivers for Part-Time W&M Employees

Project begun in FY2012. Was approved and implemented in FY2013.

General Meeting of Professionals and Professional Faculty

Held November 13, 2012, with Associate Vice President for Human Resources Ron Price as the guest speaker, followed by round-table discussions about performance planning & evaluation, academic issues, personnel benefits, collaboration/best practices and other concerns and issues.

Employee Appreciation

Members of the PPFA served on the College's Employee Appreciation Committee which reviewed best methods to offer employee appreciate events, awards and staff training.

Sexual Harassment Policy

The PPFA members reviewed the College's updated policy.

  • Brian Whitson, Director of University Relations, to review the new W&M Digest format.

May 2, 2013:

  • Ron Price, Associate Vice President for Human Resources, to discuss the forthcoming supervisor institute, which the PPFA's performance planning & evaluation survey results helped inform.
