The 2016 Annual Symposium for Pilgrimage Studies is sponsored by the Institute for Pilgrimage Studies at the College of William & Mary and by the International Consortium on Pilgrimage Studies.  The prelimary program and registration are now available. 

  • Public talk on Friday evening “Migrants, Refugees, and Pilgrims: A Meditation on Human Journeys Chosen and Coerced” by Dr. Charlie Thompson (Duke) followed by a reception in the Muscarelle Museum.
  • Paper/poster/roundtable sessions on Saturday (all day) and Sunday (morning only)
  • The Saturday Plenary will feature a William & Mary Faculty Research Panel composed of Profs. Danielle Morretti-Langholtz (anthropology), Susan Webster (art history), William Hutton (classical studies), Suzanne Hagedorn (English), Patton Burchett (religious studies) followed by a private evening dinner reception for registered participant
