Information for Instructors

If you are interested in teaching for Christopher Wren, and have never taught with us before, please contact the office at 221-1506.

Instructors Please Note:
  •  Remember You Must Register for Classes You Would Like to Attend!

Course information is on our website.  As an instructor, you are an honorary member of CWA during the semester you are teaching.  This gives you the privilege of a regular membership without paying the membership fee.  Classes fill up quickly so we would suggest you register online as soon as possible.  You may also register by mail - print out the registration form from the website, fill it out indicating honorary member, and mail it to us.  Registrations are processed on a first come first served basis.

  • Do You Have Handouts for the Class You're Teaching?

Please provide all class handouts to the CWA office for photocopying at least two weeks in advance of your class

A three-week course is limited to 20 pages per student.

A six-week course may have up to 40 pages per student.

If you wish to post your handout on our CWA web site, please provide an electronic copy.  Please allow 4 business days for posting.

  • New Instructor Orientation

This orientation is primarily intended for new instructors, but is open to everyone who is teaching in our program. The presentation will include some background information about CWA and how it is organized, how we are prepared to assist you with your teaching assignment, and important timelines you need to be aware of as the semester gets underway.  You will have an opportunity to ask questions, meet our staff, the leaders of our curriculum groups, and other new and veteran instructors as well.  Excellent instructors are a critical element of our widely admired program.  We want your experience with us to be a good one, and we urge you to attend this important session.   New Instructor Orientation is a few weeks before classes begin.   The exact location and time will be posted when that information is available.

  • Audio-Visual Training

Instructors must become familiar with the equipment in their classroom.  Training is scheduled two weeks before classes begin.  The exact location and time will be emailed  when that information is available.

  •  Instructor Appreciation Reception

Watch for the date and time of our membership reception held each semester.  There will be a short program and refreshments!
